Paper Towel Behind Temperature Probe Traeger Hack

Many people complain about the temperature swings on the Traeger.  For a long time I just ignored them because the food always seemed to come out good and people cooking with stick burners have to go through all kinds of hoops to keep there temperatures regulated,  Then one day on one of the Traeger groups I follow this hack popped up and then it kept showing up over and over so I gave it a try and it works. It seems as the metal from the Traeger heats up behind the grill it causes the probe to read wrong. The Paper Towel Behind Temperature Probe insulates it a little bit and the result is much smaller temperature swings, way cheaper then a PID controller.
